Decision on the Recess of the Turkish Grand National Assembly
The Grand National Assembly of Türkiye has entered into recess starting from August 10, 2026, with the scheduled date to reconvene on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 14:00.
The amendment to the Regulation on the Demolition of Buildings introduces comprehensive safety and technical standards for the demolition of high-rise structures and projects utilizing explosives. It broadens the mandatory scope of civil engineer oversight (fenni mesuliyet), mandates the appointment of specialized blasting engineers and blasters, and establishes detailed procedures for dust, vibration, and noise mitigation. The regulation also updates criteria for demolition permits, introduces specialized rules for high-rise demolitions (Appendix-5/6), and clarifies the responsibilities of public institutions in demolition processes.
A new entry has been added to the list of customs offices authorized for the entry of certain products subject to the control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the provincial directorates authorized to carry out official controls. This regulation updates the list of competent authorities for imports, incorporating an additional control point into the customs process.
